Ecology Link were commissioned by East Suffolk Drainage Board, on behalf of the Alde and Ore Estuary Trust, to obtain baseline potential ecological constraint data for a proposed large-scale flood protection improvement project along the East Suffolk coastline.

Surveys included initial walkout along 44km of existing flood defences to help inform cost estimates and a draft construction works delivery programme for specific flood cells within the estuary. Further analysis and constraints mapping was undertaken to aid the fully costed delivery programme for their aspirations to improve the standard of flood protection to communities within the Alde and Ore Estuaries.
